I had a blast in Kannadada Kotyadhipati: Ramya

By By: Prakash Upadhyaya

Ramya has become the first celebrity guest to grace the popular game show, Kannadada Kotyadhipati hosted by Puneet Rajkumar. In a quick interview with OneIndia, the actress, who made her debut opposite Power Star in Abhi, shared her excitement, challenges and many more...

How was your experience on Kannadada Kotyadhipati?
I had a lot of fun. It was also a learning process for me. It's a show that tests your knowledge and you also get paid for it, the challenges, the tension, the excitement, everything that comes with it make it all the more interesting. The team and Appu made me so comfortable and took such good care of me that I had a blast.

Previously, you shared screen-space with Puneet Rajkumar in a few films. But this time around you have teamed up with him for a completely different ball game. How different was it?
Appu will always be one of my favourite persons. He is not only a great actor and good human being but also an excellent host. He is completely at ease, he has the talent to gauge the other persons mood, emotions and that's what makes him more endearing as he strikes a chord with you immediately. I must say he makes the show much better than what it is.

Having made your debut opposite Power Star, you have become the first celebrity guest of Puneet Rajkumar's Kannadada Kotyadhipati. Who suggested your name and was there any special reason behind it?
You have to ask them why they invited me (Laughs). Well, it was Appu and the team head Anup, who decided together to rope me in as the guest.

How much have you won?
Watch the show...

We hear that you are donating the winning amount to some of the trouble-hit families of Sandalwood. Is that true? If yes, what made you to do so?
There are many stalwarts, Kannada cinema legends, artists in the industry, who have made us and our cinema proud. It is true that when the going is good, there are people around us and when times are bad, nobody will come to help. In cinema, although we say its like a family, we tend to forget our family members. I want to change that. I want to show my gratitude to these people for their invaluable recognition to cinema and of course that there will be some people, who, maybe, we never meet them but we can show our presence in their life by helping them when they are in need.

Note: Her special episode will be aired today evening between 8 and 9.30 PM on Suvarna.
