Kannada actors Tara, Sudeep and Srimurali express their grief about heavy rains and floods in Chennai. The chief president of KCA ( Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy) and a member of BJP, Tara has donated Rs 1 Lakh to the Tamil Nadu CM relief fund.

Rathaavara actor Srimurali took to his Facebook page and wrote, "#ChennaiRains rain God please be kind...fighting against Mother Nature...prayers for the safety of everyone in affected areas...be safe."
Electricity has been cut off in some areas as a precautionary measure. A holiday has been declared for all schools and colleges. In other words, Chennai is floating underwaters
