Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy (KCA) headed by director SV Rajendra Singh Babu, is organizing a Kannada Film Festival in Chennai for three days (July 28-31) where the best Kannada films released in the last year or two, will be screened.
The event was inaugurated yesterday(July 28) evening at Russian Centre for Science and Culture. Legendary actress Dr B Saroja Devi, Lakshmi, Ambika and Suhasini Manirathnam were a part of the event along with SV Rajendra Singh Babu, HD Gangaraju, Producer/MLA Munirathnam and C Kalyan.
Kannada Film Festival will be held at Russian Centre for Science and Culture from 28th July to 31st July where twelve Kannada films will be screened. List of the films to be screened is as follows.
This film festival is being organized by the Film Producers Association, Film Directors Association, Film Artists Association and Karnataka Sangha, Chennai.
National award-winning movie Thithi, was screened as a part of inauguration yesterday. Several Tamil industry bigwigs watched and appreciated the movie.
Noted Tamil Producer Dhananjayan Govind watched Thithi, and took on to social media to appreciate the movie - "Watched the classic film #Thithi at Kannada film festival. Loved the artistic & realistic presentation. A must watch for Cinema lovers".
With three days of film festival presenting twelve best movies of Kannada, we can only expect many such appreciations from Tamil film industry, media, audiences and fans. Let's hope this festival helps Kannada films in all possible ways.
