Raja Huli is the remake of Tamil hit Sundarapandian, which had experimental movie maker Sasikumar and Lakshmi Menon in lead roles. This is the third movie of Sasikumar to be remade in Kannada after Naadodigal and Subramanyapuram.
Yash, who impressed the rural audience with Kirataka in 2011, is again back to show the guts of village guy as Raja Huli. He is seen as an angry young man, who will be supreme in the village. The movie deals with the story of enmity between two villages, where the boy of one village falls in love with a girl from other village. Initially, Raja Huli (Yash) seems to be a love guru, who helps his friend to propose his love to Kaveri (Megahna Raj), a girl of another village. The movie takes a different turn, when Raja Huli reveals his love story, which he had few years back with Kaveri, when she was in her schooling.

Kaveri, who will be loved by Raja Huli's friend, starts liking Raja Huli. Though the initial progress of the story reminds us of Hudugaru, it takes a twist with an unpredictable scene.
Yash has done an amazing job, and he perfectly suits the role. He has also proved that nobody else would have done this role better than him. His acting in the climax is the best part of the movie.
Meghana, who has an artistic background, is excellent in her acting skills. She also looks like her mother Pramila Joshai in few scenes. She wins the heart of audience as a village girl.
Charan Raj, who is well known to Kannada audience, has been promoted to play the father's role in the movie. He looks excellent in the rural attire, and has done justice to his role. The movie is also filled with talented actors in supporting roles like Ashwini, Harsha, Sudha Belawadi and MN Lakshmi Devi.
The comedian gap is filled by Chikkanna. Though he plays the role Raja Huli's friend in the movie, his timing and dialogue delivery will make audience laugh.
The music guru of Kannada film industry Hamsalekha has done an amazing job. Though it is a remake movie, he is successful in scoring the thrilling background score. The track 'Om andare Hindu guruthu' is a feast for Kannada Rajyotsava.
Songs have mind blowing locations in the background. KM Vishnuvardhana is successful in featuring the rural areas of Mandya. He has introduced few places in the villages, which is better than any other foreign countries.
Guru Deshpande has completely worked on the script to give a different screenplay, without any influence of original (Sundarapandian), to suit the native audience.
If you love the movies with friendship themes, then don't miss Raja Huli. It is a must watch for Yash's fans. And the message is applicable to the people who betrays the friendship.
