Bala Makes Aaraattu Annan Apologise For Controversial Remarks: Santhosh Varkey, also known as Aaraattu Annan, gained popularity on social media for commenting on Mohanlal's movie 'Aaraattu'.
However, his remarks about actors' personal lives sparked controversy. Actor Bala intervened and compelled Santhosh to issue a public apology. Bala invited Santhosh to his house for a candid conversation about the issue.
Bala, in a Facebook video, opened up about an unusual matter that had been troubling him for quite some time. He took the opportunity to address the issue and make Santhosh Varkey apologise for making derogatory remarks about actors' personal lives.
Santhosh Varkey Seeks Forgiveness For Unfounded Comments
In the video, Bala expressed his concern and emphasised that criticising an actor or their work is acceptable, but delving into their personal life is inappropriate. He questioned Santhosh if he had any firsthand knowledge of the matters he criticised. Santhosh admitted his mistakes and acknowledged that his comments were completely unfounded.
"Prior to filming this video, Santhosh Varkey and I had a conversation about a few matters. He shared his thoughts with me. Now, let's discuss this: While it's acceptable to critique an actor and their film, discussing their personal life is off-limits. Frankly, you spoke ill of Lalettan (Mohanlal). Have you witnessed any of what you said in person? Is it justified?" asks Bala. In the video, Santhosh Varkey candidly admits that everything he said was utterly wrong.
Bala urged Santhosh to apologise not only to Mohanlal but also to Mohanlal's wife, Suchitra, and a Malayalam actress whom he had body-shamed.
Bala also questioned how Santhosh would feel if he faced a similar situation in his own household, emphasising that such behaviour is unacceptable. Highlighting Santhosh's popularity as a viral figure, Bala pointed out that children are exposed to his actions. He asked Santhosh if he considered the impact on his own mother. Aaraattu Annan candidly admitted his errors, realising that everything he said was wrong, and extended an apology to everyone involved.
Santhosh Varkey's theatre review became a topic of trolling on social media. Notably, he faced an attack inside the theatre, with accusations of providing a review without watching the movie. Prior to and following this incident, Santhosh made derogatory remarks about actors, including Mohanlal. Bala intervened and confronted him, leading to Santhosh's apology for his disrespectful comments about the actors.
