Maharani OTT Release: The movie 'Maharani,' directed by G Marthandan and featuring Roshan Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko, and Balu Varghese, released in theatres on November 24th.
G Marthandan, a director with a portfolio featuring A-listers like Mammootty, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Kunchacko Boban, last directed "Johny Johny Yes Appa" in 2019. His directorial journey began in 2015 with the Mammootty-starrer "Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus," followed by "Acha Din" and "Paavada" with Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Prior to his directorial career, he worked as an assistant to renowned directors including Shaji Kailas, Ranjith, Martin Prakkat, Lal, Anwar Rasheed, and Renji Panicker, among others.
G Marthandan, speaking with 'The Hindu,' described the film as a'mass' family entertainer filled with laughter. He emphasised its foundation in a real-life incident he experienced, acknowledging its serious nature but infused with humor. Marthandan believes many will connect with the narrative, citing elements of love, conflict, and a mix of other emotions.
Maharani OTT Release Date And Platform
According to recent reports, HR OTT has secured the digital rights for Maharani, helmed by director G. Marthandan. Although an official confirmation is pending from the film's creators, indications hint at an imminent OTT release. While specifics regarding the streaming date and time haven't been officially disclosed, sources suggest that this multi-starrer might premiere digitally by late December 2023 or early January 2024. Maharani Cast And Crew
G Marthandan and writer Ratheesh Ravi join forces for the first time, Ratheesh being known for scripting Ishq and Adi. The cast includes Roshan Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko, Balu Varghese, Harisree Ashokan, Johny Antony, Jaffer Idukki, Sujith Balan, Kailash, Gokulan, Ashwat Lal, Raghunath Paleri, Gauri Gopakumar, Nisha Sarang, and Sminu Sijo, among others.
The movie's technical crew comprises cinematographer Lokanathan and editor Naufal Abdullah. Govind Vasantha and Gopi Sundar have worked on the film's music, while the lyrics are penned by Murugan Kattakkada, Anwar Ali, and Rajeev Alungal.
The movie is produced by Sujith Balan under SB Films and co-produced by NM Badusha for Badusha Productions. Notably, it stands as the first feature in Kerala shot entirely on Sony Venice 2.
