Mamta Mohandas Reacts To Dr Vandana Das Murder: Reacting to the killing of Dr. Vandana Das, actress Mamta Mohandas criticized the authorities. Mamta said that it is not safe to live in a society where people are addicted to drugs and have lost control.
Mamta's Instagram note also refers to the incident in which 22 people died in the Tanur boat accident. Mamta says that two incidents within a week are examples of mismanagement by those in responsible positions.
"Are the Innocent becoming victims of OD-d unpredictable minds? Seems unsafe to have such loose & volatile people around us. This cannot be ignored anymore. This is Another example of a lack of safety measures & commonsense from higher authorities. Ridiculous. Within the same week.," Mamta said.
"RIP Dr. Vandana Das. deepest condolences to her parents. Can't imagine what they are going through. The only child they had."
"Repeated incidents, nothing ever changes. Everything just gets forgotten. Where is our system or those who lay them out, in all this? Huge reformations are needed, but when, by who, one can only live in hope in this country or die trying."

The murder of Dr. Vandana Das, a medical doctor, took place in Kottarakkara, Kerala. Yesterday she was stabbed to death while on hospital duty by a crime suspect who was brought to the Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital by the police. The murderer was identified as a 42-year-old schoolteacher from Pooyappally in Kollam. The murder sparked outrage among healthcare professionals in Kerala and they demanded stringent legal action against those committing violent acts against healthcare professionals.
