Mammootty-starrer
Mayabazar,
to
be
directed
by
debutante
Thomas
Sebastian,
who
was
a
long
time
associate
of
Sibi
Malayil,
Sunderdass
and
Blessy,
will
start
shooting
by
the
first
week
of
July.
The
movie,
which
was
earlier
expected
as
a
Christmas
release,
is
now
planned
to
be
released
during
this
Ramzan.
Meanwhile,
Pattanathil
Bhootham,
another
comic
entertainer
by
Mammootty
which
was
originally
poised
to
start
by
July,
has
now
beenpostponed
for
two
months.
The
makers
are
said
to
have
made
some
crucial
changes
in
the
script,
especially
the
climax
sequences.
Thomas
Sebastian
pens
the
script
for
Mayabazar
along
with
Govind
Vijayan,
a
known
writer
in
Malayalam.
Produced
by
Sachi
S.
Mangalam
under
the
banner
of
Aakhil
Films,
Mayabazar
will
feature
the
highest-paid
villain,
Prakash
Raj.
It
is
the
fifth
Malayalam
film
by
Prakash
Raj,
whose
earlier
films
were
Indraprastham
(1996),
The
Prince
(1996),
Oru
Yathramozhi
(1999)
and
Pandipada
(2006).
The
film
will
have
two
heroines,
one
of
them
beng
Meera
Vasudevan.
The
cast
will
also
include
Nedumudi
Venu,
Suraj
Venjaramoodu,
Innocent,
Salim
Kumar,
etc.
Mammootty
plays
a
very
down-to-earth
kind
of
role,
that
of
a
labourer
named
Sivankutty.
