Businessman Re-Release Box Office: Superstar Mahesh Babu's Film Sets Humongous Record; EARNS A WHOPPING

Bussiness starring superstar Mahesh Babu, written and directed by the maverick filmmaker Puri Jagannadh is back in headlines for all things good. The movie's latest 4K version re-released worldwide to enthusiastic fans. Businessman became the highest opening day grossers among re-releases in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.

The movie charts the journey of Vijay Surya (Mahesh Babu), who lands in Mumbai with the intention of conquering it just after the city's Police Commissioner Ajay Bharadwaj declares the end of mafia. Surya recruits a group og gansters and earn support of a politician. Surya becomes a saviour for the people of Dharavi for making them clear their debts, but he becomes a threat and face for extortion.

Back when the movie hit the screens for the first time on January 13, 2012 for Sankranthi festival season, it made about Rs 90 Crore against a budget of Rs 40 Crore. The movie was not only a commercially successful venture, but also earned acclaim for Mahesh Babu as a mass action hero, securing another hit in the combination of Puri Jagannadh, after Pokiri.

However, due to some objectionable use of language, which was the first of its kind for Mahesh Babu to pull off, the movie met with criticism for its direction, pace, and screenwriting.

Businessman Re-Release Box Office Collection

After the movie hit the screens for the second time on the occasion of Mahesh Babu's birthday, it set a humongous record by raking the moolah. In Nizam area alone, the movie earned Rs 2.46 Crore on day one, the highest ever.

Businessman stars Mahesh Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, Nassar, Raghu Babu, Sayaji Shinde, Subbaraju, Brahmaji, Raza Murad, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Bharath Reddy, Bandla Ganesh, Rajeev Mehta, Akash Puri, Shweta Bharadwaj and Puri Jagannadh (Cameo) among others in key roles.

Businessman movie is written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. RR Venkat bankrolled the movie under his RR Makers banners. S Thaman composed the film's foot-tapping tunes and background score, while S R Shekar worked as the film's editor. Shyam K Naidu cranked the camera.
