The
Association
of
Malayalam
Movie
Artists
(AMMA)
has
decided
not
to
take
any
action
against
actor
Thilakan
for
his
public
comments
against
the
association.
Speaking
after
the
general
body
meeting
of
AMMA
in
Kochi
on
Sunday,
association
president
Innocent
said
that
nobody
had
demanded
action
against
the
veteran
actor.
Earlier,
Thilakan,
who
got
a
special
jury
mention
for
his
performance
in
Ekantham
in
the
National
Awards,
had
allegedly
said
that
Malayalam
cinema
is
full
of
schemers.
At
a
meet-the-press
programme
arranged
by
the
Press
Club,
Thiruvananthapuram,
he
alleged
that
there
was
a
conspiracy
to
keep
him
out
of
films,
adding
that
he
attained
recognition
for
his
performance
in
Ekantham
in
spite
of
'spoilers.'
President
Innocent
will
personally
ask
Thilakan
to
refrain
from
this
kind
of
unhealthy
comment
against
the
organisation.
Meanwhile,
reports
said
that
there
was
difference
of
opinion
among
members
about
the
move
to
take
action
against
Thilakan
at
the
general
body
meeting
of
AMMA.
