Priyanandanan's next film is a satire on religious practices

Acclaimed director Priyanandanan is now making his comeback with his latest Malayalam venture Bhakthajanangalude Sradhakku. The film, which features actress Kavya Madhavan and Irshad in the leads, is a satire on certain religious practices and it is expected to hit the screens very soon.

Director Ranjith has penned the story and B Manoj has written the screenplay and the dialogues for the movie Bhakthajanangalude Sradhakku. The story revolves around a married couple named Sumangala and Viswanathan. Things go horribly wrong when Viswa becomes an alcoholic. How the fed up wife will curb her husband's incorrigible ways will form the rest of the story.

Bhakthajanangalude Sradhakku is said to be a female oriented movie and Kavya Madhavan is playing the female protagonist Sumangala in it. She appears in two getups like a suffering wife and an empowered woman. Offbeat actor Irshad has essayed the male lead as Viswanathan. Kalabhavan Mani, Jagadeesh, Salim Kumar, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Geetha Vijayan and Vanitha are in the other cast.

Bhakthajanangalude Sradhakku is being produced by Jahangir Shams. Natesh Sankar has composed the music for it. The movie has been shot in Kannur and Kerala. Priyanandanan, who has already won several awards including a few National awards for his previous films, is now sure to get another National Award for this movie too.
