Salim Kumar denies allegations of plagiarism

Malayalam actor Salim Kumar has denied the allegations of plagiarism made against his latest movie Adaminte Makan Abu, which has got him the Best Actor award at both State and National Film Awards. The actor has said that the movie has not been copied from any tele film, but people have been making baseless accusations.

Last week, tele-serial director Abbas Kalathod had alleged that director Salim Ahmed has lifted the story for Adaminte Makan Abu from his short film Maruppacha, which he had done eight years ago. He had even said that he was considering to take legal action against it producers and distributors.

But now, Salim Kumar has slammed his claims stating that Abbas Kalathod is making baseless allegations against his movie Adaminte Makan Abu. Abbas' allegations came after he watched two clippings of the film on television and a song. So the actor has asked him to watch the full movie and then make allegations.

Meanwhile, Salim Kumar has said that Adaminte Makan Abu can not be a copy of Abbas Kalathod's movie because Maruppacha is just a version of the famous film Kuttikkuppayam. The actor has warned that he will have to face dire consequences, if he proceeds with legal action against the film.
