Karthik belongs to an aristocratic Brahmin family, and Riya to a Christian family. They were deeply in love. Unfortunately, they find that their love compatibility do not make them a good pair and they part ways. The movie begins with their break-up and gradually eloborates their love after.
The story is said in the backdrop of Aleppey, the Venice of the East. The movie revolves around how fate bring the two back together.
All the cast have given a wonderful performance. The role prtrayed by two families are outstanding. Dulquar has done a good job in his role as Karthik.
The movie has an excellent work of cinematography. The beauty of Alleppey has been picturised wonderfully by Jomon T John. Azhagappan has also done a wondeful job in his debut venture. The movie shows the importance of a family in a person's life. BGM is also good.
The movie is lagging at the second half. Except the song 'Mazhaye...', others are just okay.
Pattam Pole is another visual treat by Dulquar Salman for all his fans. It is a watchable romantic-comedy movie.
