CCL 4: Kerala Strikers Vs Veer Marathi - Kerala Wins!

It was yet another brilliant performance by the Kerala Strikers on last Saturday (February 1), against their match with Veer Marathis. Kerala Strikers battled to get yet another terrific victory and repeats their success.

Yes, the whole stadium was filled with crowd to see the match between the Kerala Strikers and Veer Marathis. The match, which was held in Dubai, was indeed a treat for all the Kerala audience.

The Veer Marathis batted first and struggled to get a score of 124 runs from 20 overs. An outstanding performance was shown by the Kerala Strikers' bowlers that the Veer Marathis found it very challenging to reach a good target.

Kerala Strikers stared off quite well. Rajeev Pillai, who was the opener this time, gave a bashing performance this time. He was injured in the previous match. Rajeev managed to get 41 runs of 37 balls, thus keeping Kerala Strikers onto a safer side.

Things began to change when the wickets began to fall. A huge pressure surrounded when Kerala Strikers were in their last over. Seven runs were needed to win in the last over. Ritesh Deshmukh was the bowler then. The match was moving when Kerala needed 6 runs from 4 balls. With so much of pressure, the Kerala Strikers' batsman Sleeba managed to get a boundary, and thus Kerala Strikers repeats their success, winning by 3 wickets against Veer Marathis.

Rajeev Pillai, who is also the captain of the team, won Man of the Match.
