Salim
Kumar,
who
won
the
National
Award
for
Best
actor
for
his
outstanding
performance
in
the
movie
Adaminte
Makan
Abu,
will
be
retiring
from
the
Malayalam
film
industry.
The
actor
himself
has
announced
his
retirement.
Salim
Kumar
said
that
he
feels
that
there
is
a
provision
for
retirement
in
the
film
industry
too.
Salim
Kumar
said
that
he
is
43
now
and
will
be
retiring
at
his
age
of
46
years.
This
means
that
the
audience
are
blessed
with
only
three
more
years
to
see
their
favourite
actor
on
screen.
Explaining
the
reason
for
his
retirement,
Salim
Kumar
said
that
he
is
not
only
an
actor,
but
he
is
a
responsible
son,
father
and
husband.
Now,
he
feels
that
he
needs
to
spend
some
time
with
his
old
mother,
children
and
wife,
who
missed
him
all
these
years.
Salim
Kumar
added
that
he
do
not
wish
to
concentrate
on
acting
life
long
though
it
is
his
passion.
But,
he
also
gives
preference
to
his
family.
The
actor
said
that
his
two
decades
of
journey
in
the
film
industry
as
an
actor
will
always
be
cherished
lifetime.
He
said
that
he
now
needs
to
fulfil
all
the
unaccomplished
wishes
of
his
old
mother,
wife
and
children
and
wish
to
spend
time
with
them.
