Ozzy was devastated to hear John Lennon's death

Washington, (ANI): Rocker Ozzy Osbourne revealed that his 'world stopped" when his better half Sharon Osbourne informed him that ex-Beatle John Lennon had been shot dead. Ozzy, whose favourite band was The Beatles, was so shattered that he found it difficult to cope with the news that Lennon had been murdered in New York City.

The rocker recollected how he felt when the Lennon"s murder news broke. "The world stopped for me when Sharon told me that John Lennon had been shot in New York. I can't even describe how I felt," Contactmusic quoted Ozzy, as saying. "If he was a politician, a soldier, anything else, it would be, 'Oh yeah, well he is in that kind of business,' but the amount of joy and hope that he gave people was just remarkable," he added.

The 58-year-old rocker also expressed that he would have loved to see the band play. "I often daydream about whether they would ever have reformed. I never saw The Beatles, I saw Paul McCartney play but never saw The Beatles - I would have loved to have seen them play," Ozzy said.
