London (ANI): John Lennon's murderer has been enjoying annual sex sessions with wife in jail for the last 16 years, prison bosses have confirmed. Mark Chapman is serving 20-year to life for shooting the ex-Beatle outside his New York home in December 1980. Jail bosses have confirmed that the pair meet in a private room and are allowed 44 hours together, reports The Sun

They are guaranteed privacy because the facility has no cameras or guards inside. The conjugal visits are allowed under the Attica Correctional Facility's "family reunion" programme, which he had joined in 1992. Meanwhile, Chapman is making a new bid for parole after being been turned down four times since 2000. He claims that he has recovered from the mental illness, which provoked him to kill the legendary rocker.
