Janet Jackson to start 2011 tour in Hong Kong

Washington (ANI): Singer Janet Jackson"s 35-date 2011 world tour will start in Hong Kong. She had asked her website followers to pick the site of her first Number Ones show and they voted for Hong Kong, reports Contactmusic. The singer will now perform at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre on St. Valentine's Day (14Feb10).

She is also calling on her local fans to pick teenagers in the area she can honour as part of a 20 Under 20 initiative. A post on her website reads, "Calling All Janet Fans: Janet plans on meeting, honoring, and recognizing 20 young people under the age of 20 for their extraordinary contributions to the Hong Kong community. Now is the time for you to nominate those in Hong Kong who are deserving of this honor!"
