Jessica Simpson delivers Eric Johnson's first child

Singer-turned-actress Jessica Simpson has given birth to Eric Johnson's baby girl on Tuesday, 1st May. The Hollywood couple themselves have announced it on Jessica's official website. Both mother and child are healthy and doing fine. The baby named Maxwell Drew Johnson weighs 9 lb. 13 oz and measures 21-3/4 inches.

On Jessica's official website, the singer and her fiance, former football player revealed the news about the arrival of the baby girl and thanked their fans for their love and support. They wrote, “Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl.”

Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson also revealed the name of their child as Maxwell Drew Johnson and its wight 9 lb. 13 oz. They further wrote, "We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives.”

However, Jessica Simpson came to limelight as a teen pop sensation after she starred in a TV reality show with then new husband Nick Lachey. The couple divorced after three years of marriage. The 31-year-old singer hooked up to Eric Johnson, 32, and she announced her engagement with him on November 14, 2010.
