Thalapathy
69:

presently
filming
for
'The
Greatest
of
All
Time'
(GOAT)
directed
by
Venkat
Prabhu,
has
officially
declared
his
political
debut
by
unveiling
his
party's
name
today.
Meanwhile,
Thalapathy
Vijay
has
also
confirmed
that
he
will
be
acting
in
one
more
film,
which
will
be
his
last
as
an
actor.
GOAT
is
Vijay's
68th
film,
and
accordingly,
'Thalapathy
69'
will
be
his
last.
While
the
details
of
the
project
are
yet
to
be
announced,
fans
are
eagerly
awaiting
more
information
about
his
final
film
and
the
fortunate
director
who
will
helm
it.
Discussing
the
significance
of
politics
to
him
and
disclosing
that
'Thalapathy
69'
will
mark
his
farewell
from
acting,
Vijay
stated,
"Finally,
politics
is
not
just
another
career
for
me;
It
is
a
sacred
people's
work.
To
know
not
only
the
height
of
politics
but
also
its
length
and
width,
I
have
been
preparing
myself
for
it
for
a
long
time
by
studying
lessons
from
many
of
us.
So
politics
is
not
a
hobby
for
me;
That
is
my
deepest
desire.
I
want
to
fully
involve
myself
in
it.
On
my
behalf,
I
am
going
to
complete
another
film
related
commitment
that
I
have
already
agreed
to,
without
interfering
with
party
work,
and
fully
engage
in
politics
for
the
service
of
the
people.
I
consider
that
as
my
debt
of
gratitude
to
the
people
of
Tamil
Nadu."
Rumors
suggest
that
Vijay
will
collaborate
with
director
Karthik
Subbaraj,
backed
by
Kalanithi
Maran's
Sun
Pictures,
for
his
69th
film.
There
are
also
reports
that
SJ
Suryah
will
play
a
crucial
role
in
the
upcoming
movie,
with
Santhosh
Narayanan
handling
the
music.
An
official
announcement
regarding
the
project
is
anticipated
after
Vijay
wraps
up
shooting
for
Venkat
Prabhu's
film.
