Much to the joy and slight disappointment of his die-hard fans and admirers, actor Thalapathy Vijay, one of the leading superstars of Kollywood, announced his last film, Thalapathy 69, after which he would be active in politics of the Tamil Nadu state.

The actor also floated a party called 'Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam' (TVK) recently, officially marking his entry into state politics. The actor finally joined the plethora of Tamil superstars who have succeeded as politicians. The 'Varisu' actor is confident and wants to contest in the 2026 Assembly elections.

Thalapathy 69 (Vijay's Last Film) Updates

It was almost confirmed that passionate Tollywood producer DVV Danayya, who funded the epic SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan & Jr NTR's Indian pride 'RRR,' is helming the prestigious film referred to as Thalapathy 69, the details about the important cast and crew are yet-to-be finalized.

If the rumour mills of Tollywood and Kollywood are to be believed, it is none other than 'Guntur Kaaram' fame writer-director Trivikram Srinivas, who might likely come on board for this remarkable movie in Thalapathy Vijay's career, to direct it. However, the official confirmation of the same is awaited.

Meanwhile, Vijay is playing a dual role in his much-awaited and interesting film under the direction of maverick filmmaker Venkat Prabhu. The movie's title and first look poster were revealed recently and it is 'The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT).'

The movie is a science fiction film and has an ensemble cast in the form of Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, SJ Surya, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Parvati Nair, Jayaram, Ajmal Ameer, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, and Mohan among others playing key roles.
