Sigaram Thodu has the right balance of all the necessary commercial ingredients. Newbie Gaurav Narayanan's movie has a gripping screenplay and the realistic execution that makes the movie an interesting watch.
The script is backed by good performances from all the actors including Vikram Prabhu. Not to forget the huge contribution made by the technical team.
Verdict: Sigaram Thodu is well-researched product and wholesome family entertainer.
Sigaram Thodu deals with a father-son relationship. The story revolves around the dream of a father to make his son a police officer and how the son reacts to the dream with few twists in the screenplay.
Vikram Prabhu’s appearance as a police officer is justifying and the actor seems to be making it a point to choose the scripts that matches his physical appearance aptly.
Verdict: An enjoyable thriller with a little less engaging first half.
Chellapa wants his son Murali to become a police officer like him but Murali's dream is a 'safe' bank job. However, a slew of thefts in ATMs affects them personally and changes the course of Murali's life.
The film also gives the feeling that it should have been edited tightly, not on the editing table but during the writing.
Vikram Prabhu’s Sigaram Thodu is a well written edge of the seat thriller laced with commercial entertainment ingredients. The film works largely due to intelligent writing of its director Gaurav Narayanan.
The plot is based on the recent series of ATM credit and debit card skimming and how organised gangs are making money out of cards.
Verdict – Very Good
Vikram Prabhu need not fall back on his family’s legacy to move forward. With 3 successful films behind him, and another film which has just hit the screens, he has walked the distance.
Gaurav’s screenplay needed an edit. Those songs and comedy pieces are a bore. The culprits are revealed in the beginning scene itself, so, what remains is how the law catches up with them.
Verdict - Vikram Prabhu has been consistently choosing the right scripts.
