Cheran
is
the
one
actor
who
is
continuously
blasting
the
selection
procedure
of
films
for
National
Awards.
Whenever
he
gets
a
chance,
he
criticises
that
most
of
the
awards
go
to
the
artists
from
the
Hindi
belt.
But
I
hope
hereafter
Cheran
will
be
the
first
man
in
the
league
that
sings
paeans
for
the
National
Awards
Committee!
Yes...
this
time
the
jury
of
the
award
committee
have
shut
his
big
mouth
with
2
major
awards!
Cheran's
hit
film
Thavamai
Thavamirunthu,
acted
and
directed
by
him
has
bagged
an
award
in
the
category
of
Best
Family
Welfare.
Another
award
has
given
to
his
film
Aadum
Koothu
directed
by
the
veteran
director
T.V.
Chandran.
When
asking
about
these
awards,
Cheran
told:
"I
dedicate
this
award
to
my
ardent
Tamil
fans.
These
awards
will
encourage
me
in
giving
more
good
films
like
Thavamai
Thavamirunthu.
I
knew
it
well
enough
while
the
movie
was
still
under
production,
that
it
would
win
at
least
one
award
at
the
national
level.
However,
I'm
still
a
little
disappointed
with
the
selection
of
the
jury.
I
expected
an
award
for
Rajkiran
in
the
best
supporting
actor
category.
But
it
didn't
happen.
I
hope
my
future
films
will
be
able
to
achieve
this
feat
for
him".
