The
Tamil
Nadu
Progressive
writers
Association
has
declared
awards
for
two
Tamil
films,
Veyyil
and
Imsai
Arasan
23-m
Pulikesi.
This
association
is
known
for
it's
genuine
work
in
pioneering
the
right
person
in
the
field
of
arts
for
past
several
years.
Every
year,
this
association
has
been
selecting
the
most
deserving
films
for
the
award.
Recently
a
panel
of
experts
has
selected
Veyyil
and
Imsai
as
the
best
film
for
the
year
2006.
The
President
of
the
association
Arunan
and
General
Secretary
S.
Thamizhselvan
has
announced
this
yesterday.
According
to
the
press
release,
Veyyil
has
been
selected
for
Art
category
and
Imsai
was
selected
for
satiric
comments
over
the
communal
disputes,
such
as
coke
and
pepsi
issues
in
a
period
film.
The
awards
will
be
handed
over
to
creators
and
producer
of
the
films
in
the
function
organized
at
Hosur
in
the
coming
August.
The
producer
of
the
film
Shankar
and
directors
Vasanthabalan
and
Simbhu
Devan
are
being
expected
to
attend
the
function
to
receive
the
prestigious
award
from
our
own
people!
