Nikita roped in for Karthi's next film

Nikita has finally got enough reasons to smile. The three-year ban drama is turning out to be a blessing in disguise, as she is being showered with offers. The actress, who was in the news for her alleged connection with Kannada actor Darshan's family dispute, has bagged Karthi's next film, which also stars Anushka Shetty.

The actress has confirmed the news and has said that she has given her verbal consent to act in the forthcoming Tamil film. Nikita has said that she is enacting the role of a village belle and the actress is playing the second fiddle in the movie. However, the 25-year-old refused to give further details about the character citing that she has been told not to reveal about her role by the makers of the film.

The forthcoming untitled Tamil movie is directed by Suraj of Padikathavan and Maapillai. The shooting of the film will commence once Karthi completes his Saguni.
