It
was
recently
reported
that
Amy
Jackson
was
approached
by
the
makers
of
forthcoming
Tamil
movie
I
to
play
the
female
lead
in
the
movie.
But
it
was
not
sure
whether
she
had
given
a
green
signal
for
the
movie,
as
the
actress
was
not
in
India.
However,
we
hear
that
a
few
days
ago
she
has
signed
the
movie,
which
stars
Vikram
in
the
lead.
A
leading
daily
reports
that
Amy
Jackson,
who
was
in
the
US
when
the
offer
came
her
way,
was
recently
in
Chennai
to
attend
a
film
event.
During
her
visit,
the
actress
met
Shankar
and
finished
the
formalities.
Though
there
is
not
any
official
announcement
about
her
association
with
the
movie,
it
has
been
confirmed
by
sources
that
Amy
has
given
a
nod
to
the
project.
The
buzz
also
says
that
Amy
Jackson
and
Vikram
took
part
in
the
photoshoots
of
I
on
Sunday
(July
8).
The
project
is
likely
to
take
off
on
July
15.
It
may
be
recalled
that
Samantha
was
the
first
choice
to
play
the
female
lead
in
I,
but
the
actress
opted
out
of
the
film
due
to
health
reasons
that
made
the
makers
of
the
film
to
find
a
replacement
for
her.
I
is
a
romantic-thriller,
which
has
AR
Rahman's
music,
PC
Sriram's
cinematography,
also
features
Santhanam,
Malayalam
actor
Suresh
Gopi,
Ramkumar
(Nadigar
Thilakam
Sivaji
Ganesan's
eldest
son)
and
others.
It
is
produced
by
Aascar
Ravichandran.
