Surya's Maatraan seems to be making noise not only in Tamil Nadu but also in neighbouring states. The distribution rights of Karnataka have been sold for a good price, which is said to be the second highest-ever paid amount after Rajinikanth's Endhiran.
Reports say that a distributor named Srikanth from Mandya has acquired the rights. It is said that he is a regular distributor of Tamil films and bagged the rights for Rs 4 crore. It is the highest paid amount for a Surya starrer movie till date. On the other side, the Telugu rights have been sold to Bellamkonda Suresh. However, Eros International, the original rights holder of Maatraan, is yet to sell the theatrical rights for Kerala. The movie will hit the screens on September 12.
Meanwhile, the makers of Maatraan is all set for the audio release function, which will be held in Singapore on August 9. They have invited Trisha Krishnan, Tamanna Bhatia, Asin Thottumkal, Sameera Reddy, Divya Spanadana aka Ramya and Shruti Hassan to add glam quotient to the music release function.
