Saguni viewers' review

Karthi's Saguni seems to have crushed between expectation and hype. The much-awaited movie, which was released on June 22, has failed to be an impressive affair, as the majority audience have given thumbs down to the film blaming the director for his poor story and screenplay.

The zealous cine fans, who saw Saguni, responded to the review written by Prakash Upadhyaya on Oneindia through their comments where most have claimed that the movie is a 'below average' outing. Here, we are bringing you some of the selected comments posted by the viewers for our review.

Venkat wrote, "I saw this movie with a great expectation, I expected it to be as good as Paiyaa. Alas, No story, no proper editing, nothing has worked out except Santhanam's one liners."

"This is one of the worst movie I have watched in Tamil. I went for the movie with a lot of expectation as this is a film starring Karthi. There is nothing in the movie that satisfies you. Guys, this movie can be ignored. My rating is 1/5, " commented by a reader, whose screen name is MKM.

However, a reader named Shree gave postive opinion about the film. He commented, "Karthi and Santhanam (Rajini-Kamal) combination is very impressive. Sridevi fails. Other succeeds in their respective role. Overall Saguni is a complete entertainer and songs by GV is unimpressive."

Sriram, "I truly agree with Oneindia review. Horrible screenplay and childish in the 2nd half. The film tries to test your patience as it is too lengthy. Instead of 2 out of 5 I'd have given 1.5 only."

Pradeep, "Too much of hype! The movie is watchable once and it wont irritate you or make you go out of the theatre. But there is no story and the screenplay is extremely bad! I was wondering how the director has included a duet song for a sad situation! No continuity between the scenes and horrible songs! My verdict would be 2.5 / 10."

A fan named Arun went ahead to thank the Regional Censor Board over Billa 2 certificaton, which delayed the Ajith Kumar film. Hence, it would have been clashed with Karthi's film and eaten away the business of Saguni. He wrote, "Saguni team must thanks to Censor Board for not allowing to release Billa 2 on time, then Saguni would have been slammed to Trash."
