Maverick director Shankar's PR has denied the reports pertaining to Indian 2. He has clarified that the filmmaker is not planning a sequel to the blockbuster film starring Kamal Hassan.
"He (Shankar) has made no announcement about Indian 2. He is extremely busy with I and will not think about his next film until he is done with it. It's nothing but rumours that are doing the rounds in the industry about the sequel," Shankar's agent told IANS.
According to the industry grapevine, Kamal Hassan and Suriya Sivakumar were reportedly roped in for Indian 2. Kamal played the lead in Indian, which also featured Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar, Suganya, Manorama, Senthil and Goundamani. It was dubbed in Hindi as Hindustani. The film won three National awards, including Best Actor, Best Art Direction and Best Special Effects.

The Story Of Shankar's Indian
Indian is about an old-aged man named Senapathy, who uproots the corruption. He kills people, who are all involved in it, including his son. In the end, he leaves the country and sends message that he would be back, when the situation demands.
Shankar's I stars Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. The director has taken a break from his favourite subject (Corruption) and has come up with a romantic-thriller story.

The director has shot major part of I in China. The budget of the film is close to Rs 100 crores. The director has roped in some of the big names from the Hollywood to work in the technical department of the movie.
