The much awaited audio launch event of Suriya's upcoming movie 24 is happening right now at the famous Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai and we bring you the live updates from the audio release function, as it unfolds.
The event, which is blessed by the presence of veteran actor Sivakumar, Karthi, Suriya and of course the man on whom the event's spotlight is firmly on AR Rahman, is likely to go on for the next one hour.
All other celebrities and fans who are present at the gathering were enthralled, as songs were performed live by musicians including AR Rahman and guitarist Keba Jeremiah, along with playback singers.
Vocalists like Benny Dayal, Chinmayi Sripada and Shakthisree Gopalan crooned their respective songs from the tracklist. Benny performed the already famous track, 'Kaalam En Kadhali', which was released as a single, a few days back.
The surprise element was flung in when actress Nithya Menon took the centre stage, when she gave her best shot while singing the Telugu version of 'Aaraaro'. The Tamil version was performed by Shakthisree Gopalan.
Nithya Menon thanked the Mozart of Madras for providing her with an opportunity to lend her voice in his album. Chinmayi sang the heart-stirring melody, 'Naan Un Singers'.
Speaking at the event, actress Saranya, who will be seen playing Suriya's mom in the movie said, "Mother-son relationship has come out really well in the film. I was moved to tears while dubbing my part."
She also said that Suriya is a very disciplined and self respected person and that he talks with people whom he trusts. She also added that the Singam actor is a great producer.
Producer Dhananjaya said Suriya is next only to Kamal Haasan when it comes to experimenting with his roles. Karthi claimed that his brother has aced both the positive and negative character with ease.
The audio release for the Telugu version of the movie will happen tonight at Hyderabad.
