Mounika Reveals Secret About Balu Mahendra: Actress Mounika shared many interesting information about her acting experiences and her life in a recent interview to a popular media portal. Actress Mounika has emerged as one of the leading heroines on the silver screen. She first made her debut as a heroine in the 1985 film 'Un Kannil Neer Vazhinthal' directed by Balu Mahendra.

After that, she acted in many movies like Thalattu Kekuthamma, Vanna Vanna Pookkal, Kadaikutty Singam and also acted in many serials like Nimmathi Ungal Choice-2, Galatta Kudumbam, Sontham, Balu Mahendravin Kathai Neram, Sorgam, Sharadha, Anandham Vilaiyadum Veedu, Ayutha Ezhuthu.

After a few years of gap, she started acting again. She is currently playing the character of mother in Aaha Kalyanam serial which is being aired on Vijay TV. In a recent interview, Mounika spoke about Balumahendra, one of the directors who gave many hit movies in Tamil cinema. All his movies are comedy and serial films unlike the movies of other directors and he has shown his uniqueness.

Third Marriage

He had many talents not only as a director but also as a narrator, cinematographer and producer. But his personal life has been full of complications. Initially married to Shobha. But that marriage did not last for many days. Actress Shobha suddenly hanged herself. After that he married a girl named Akila. She got married to Balu Mahendra when she was 18 years old.

Then Balu Mahendra also married actress Mounika, while in marital relationship with Akila. There is a thirty year age difference between Mounika and Balu Mahendra. It is said that actress Mounika did not have a child with Balu Mahendra as it would affect his wife Akila.

Balu Mahendra Asked For Two Promises

It was Mounika who was with Balumahendra during his last days. It was in this condition that Balumahendra took two oaths from Mounika when he was dying. Mounika was working in real estate. But Balumakendra did not like it. So after his death, he asked for the first oath that she must act with her favorite directors. Mounika also promised that it was okay.

Balu Mahendra also asked that after his death she should marry someone else as a second oath. But Mounika has said in that interview, "I refused and said that I will not swear that I can't do it."
