Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2, 9th May written episode: Astha tries to convince Anjali who firmly sticks to her point of not making any birthday celebration. Sojal thinks she must ruin Astha's plan. She provokes Abhay saying that when he is half-dead in grief due to the absence of his wife, the Agnihotri family is celebrating Anjali's birthday.

Abhay questions Anjali about the matter. She denies being involved in this. Abhay complains that the customs of the family are being broken. He advises her to have control over Astha. Anjali vows that she will never participate in Astha's plan.

In the evening, guests gather in the Agnihotri house. Anjali helplessly tries to contact Niranjan, whose phone is unreachable. Astha lies to her that Niranjan has given his nod for the party and if she does not attend it, it will be an insult for Niranjan. Anjali gets stuck in utter confusion.

When Niranjan enters the house, he becomes stunned seeing the arrangements. He becomes even angrier seeing Anjali coming down the stairs, dressed well for the party. Shlok reminds Niranjan that he called him and asked for permission. Niranjan cannot deny it.

Reporters gather around Niranjan and ask how he could manage such a nice arrangement for his wife, even after such a busy schedule. Astha says that Niranjan is a dutiful husband besides being a successful businessman.

Astha requests Niranjan to wish Anjali and deliver a speech for her. Niranjan becomes compelled to wish her, while his face clearly says that the result will be disastrous for Anjali.

Kalindi and Ajju enter the party while Jyoti waits inside the car. Abhay keeps close watch on Astha. When she tells Anjali that she will fulfill her wish on this day, he becomes dubious and goes outside to check what is happening.

Jyoti quickly hides herself seeing Abhay. Abhay cannot find anything and comes back. Astha takes Anjali out and calls Jyoti. Anjali sees Jyoti.
