Diya Aur Baati Hum: Lalima’s Brother Rejects Bhabho’s Proposal

Diya Aur Baati Hum's August 4th episode: Bhabho talks with Meenakshi about Lalima. Meena tells her that Lalima is a nice girl with a lot of qualities. The girl is sincerely religious, good-natured and she has a lot of artistic skills, informs Meena. Bhabho tells her that she is thinking of Sooraj’s marriage with Lalima. Meena is shocked!

Bhabho and Babasa come to Lalima’s house and meet her brother. The lad tells them that Lalima and he lost their mother at an early age and were brought up by their father. His sister has fulfilled the gap of a mother in his life, says the humble guy. Bhabho feels hopeful to think that Lalima would be able to care for Ved like his own mother.

Diya Aur Baati Hum: Lalima’s Brother Rejects Bhabho’s Proposal

Bhabho proposes Lalima’s marriage with Sooraj and asks for her brother’s permission. The young man takes no time in saying ‘no’; he argues that Sooraj might be a very good person, but his sister deserves a better match.

Bhabho still tries to convince them. She says that Sooraj might be married, having a child of eight years; but he has all the qualities of a good husband, who can make a woman happy for lifetime. Whereas, there is no guarantee that a bachelor guy would make Lalima happy.

Bhabho goes before the image of Lord Shiva, who is regularly worshipped by Lalima. She says that Lord Shiva also married twice and his second wife Parvati was never unhappy!

Sandhya comes to the village doctor Narayani, to take her anti-venom medicine. Narayani tells her that love is non-sense. Sandhya argues that love cannot be measured by its rewards, as it gives an inner strength. Narayani feels a strange pain.

Sandhya’s boss feels bad to see how she misses her family. He comes to the Rathi house in the guise of a molasses seller and gives Sooraj the molasses cake, which he has taken from Sandhya.
