It is obvious that the groom, Nikhil, who got engaged to Rinki in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has something to hide from her family. The current storyline will revolve around this person and how Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi), Raman (Karan Patel) and others will find out about it or if they will in time to avoid the wedding.

Rinki agrees to go through the arranged marriage proposal only because Ishita assured it will happen only if she likes the groom. And now that everyone likes the groom, the two are engaged to each other. What they don't know is that the groom and his family are hiding something from them.

After the engagement, though Ishita contacts her junior who knew the groom, they would have asked the person to lie to Ishita by then. This makes Ishita give a green signal for the marriage. But there seems to be something the groom is hiding from them desperately.
