Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) activists have forcefully stopped the screening of Telugu films in disputed Telangana region. The move comes after the Censor Board refused to clear the controversial movie Jai Bolo Telangana.

The protesters disrupted the screenings of the movies like Wanted, Parama Veera Chakra, Golconda High School, which are all made by Seema-Andhra filmmakers. They also burnt the effigy of the Board members and posters of the newly released movies. Telangana Film Chamber and Kakatiya University Student Joint Action Committee have also lend their full support for the TRS.

On Tuesday, The Censor Board denied to clear the movie and told the makers of the film to cut objectionable scenes fearing that it could create law and order problems in Andhra Pradesh. Later, it was revealed that the movie will be re-censored by the CBFC revising committee.

However, they are demanding to clear the movie without any cuts. According to director N Shankar, Jagapathi Babu starrer movie is based on Telangana agitation and it does not contain any objectionable scenes.
