A Telugu film without a lead actress is as rare as a film without songs. A beautiful lady next to the hero is essential in every movie.

When we consider the films in 2012 ans 2013 there are many actresses who have become popular, few for their looks and few for their acting talent.

Many producers feel that few actresses' presence have been proven lucky for them. Such beliefs along with the box office collections have made the queens of the industry.

Anushka Shetty for instance, after her spectacular performance in the film Arundhathi along with the Box Office returns of the movie, she became the most wanted actress, particularly in period films. Producers when they are investing crores in a film want to invest in an actress who can guarantee them success and performance in return. Anushka Shetty does that.

Anushka Shetty has bagged all the biggest budget films. She is currently acting in two period films, Baahubali and Rudrama Devi.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Samantha is currenly the most wanted actress in Telugu film industry. She is currently working for Pawan Kalyan's Atharintiki Daredi and Jr NTR's Ramayya Vasthavayya. She will have 8 releases this year.

Tamanna

Tamanna has been lucky to be part of most of the hit films in Telugu. Her recent releases Endukante Premanta, Rebel, Tadaka has received good response. Her upcoming films this year include Hello Brother with Naga Chaitanya.

Shruti Hassan

Shruti Hassan is currently working with Ram Charan Teja for Yevadu. She has been working simultaniously in Telugu and Hindi films this year. Totally she will have 6 releases this year.

Nitya Menen

Nitya Menen releases this year are Okkadine, Jabardasth, Gunde Jaari Gallantayyinde so far and she is shooting for her upcoming film Yemito Ee Maaya.

Amala Paul

Amala Paul has acterd in Nayak and Iddarammayilatho this year and she will be seen in Janda Pai Kapiraju very soon.

Kajal Agarwal

Kajal Agarwal's and Jr NTR film Baadshah was a blockbuster hit. She will also be seen in a cameo role for the upcomign Ram Charan film Yevadu.

Hansika Motwani

Hansika Motwani has become a hot favourite for both Tamil and Telugu films. Her bilingual film with Siddharth released recently and her performance has received tremendous appreciation among all the viewers and critics. She will be acting in Untied Shivas Project and Hello Brother this year.

Anjali is the fresh face that has come into limelight lately. She was seen in Sithamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu for which she got very good feedback. She will be seen in Balupu and Golmaal this year.
