Actress Trisha Krishnan has ruled South Indian film industry for over a decade and has several hits to her credit. Now, she has been honoured with the 10 Years Of Excellence In Cinema award on the first day of the second edition of South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2013 held in Dubai between September 12 and 13. She looked all contented as she walked with this honour on Thursday.

On August 29, Trisha Krishnan took to her Twitter page and revealed the news about SIIMA honour. The actress tweeted, "Thank u so much SIIMA fr bestowing this honour upon me. Lookin fwd to sharing 'Ten yrs of excellence in cinema' with u." She added, "Thank u all for ur wonderful wishes. So happy to read each n every one. Blessed!"

In reply to Trisha's tweet, the bosses of SIIMA Awards 2013 congratulated the actress on winning this honour. On August, an official tweet from SIIMAwards read, "Congratulations @trishtrashers and thank you for entertaining us for a decade, look forward to see you in U.A.E !!!"

Having started her acting career with Tamil film Jodi, Trisha Krishnan has starred in nearly 50 movies in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi in her career spanning 15 years. Although she has won several awards for her performances in the past, the SIIMA honour happens to be the most special award for the actress.
