Dil Raju Acquires Aagadu, Rudhramadevi Distribution Rights

Superstar Mahesh Babu's Aagadu and actress Anushka Shetty's Rudhramadevi are among the most-awaited Telugu movies of 2014. These films have been creating positive buzz in the media ever since they were announced. So there has been great demand for theatrical distribution rights of these movies. The latest buzz in the T-Town is that producer Dil Raju has acquired rights of both films for a whopping price.

Dil Raju is known for producing big ticket movies like Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Ramayya Vasthavayya and Yevadu. Besides movie production, he has also been into distribution for several years and he has released many big budget movies especially in Nizam region. Now, he has bought the theatrical rights of Aagadu for the Uttarandhra area for a record price of Rs 5 crores.

Meanwhile, it is rumoured that the deal of Rudhramadevi, which has been directed and produced by Gunasekhar, was done much before Aagadu and producer Dil Raju has acquired the rights of the films for a whopping price. But the filmmaker has not revealed the price and area of the distribution of this period drama.

Both Aagadu and Rudramadevi are mega-budget movies, which are helmed by ace directors like Srinu Vaitla and Gunasekhar respectively. While Rudramadevi features Anushka Shetty in the title role, Superstar Mahesh Babu and Tamanna are playing the lead roles in Aagadu. Both the films have made fantastic pre-release business. It should be seen whether they will be able to impress the viewers or not.
