Manam Highlights: 20 Reasons To Watch Akkineni Family Film

Manam is one of the most-talked about and highly-awaited Telugu movies of 2014. The film has created lot of positive buzz in the media and that is due to two main reasons. Firstly, it brings together the three generations stats like Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya to big screen. Secondly, it is the last movie of late legendary actor ANR, who passed away on January 22, 2014.

Written and directed by Ishq fame Vikram Kumar, Manam is a comedy period drama, which spans 100 years lying between 1920 and 2020 with a reincarnation angle in it and is based on the concept of eternal love. The film unit has taken special care to recreate the yesteryear ambience perfectly. Especially, Vikram Kumar has worked with utmost care so that he would get even minor details right.

Produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna, Manam has been made on a whopping budget under the banner of Annapurna Studios. It is touted as a befitting send off and Nag's tribute to his late father Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The makers of Manam have kept the story under wraps. They say that the film is based on a very simple premise and letting it out will just take the whole fun out of the movie.

Manam went on floors on 7 June 2013 and its shooting ended in the last week of April 2014. Having completed its post production works, the movie has bagged a U/A certificate from the Censor Board. The producers have made grand arrangements for its worldwide release. It will have a grand premiere in Hyderabad on May 22 and on the same day, it will grace the screens in USA. It is scheduled to release in India on May 23.
