Hold your breath, two most awaited movies of the year are all
set to hit screens. But it's going be an interesting tug of war at
the box office. Srimanthudu will be releasing
worldwide on July 17 while Baahubali is gearing up to meet you at
the theatres on July 10.
Babu officially announced the release date of
Srimanthudu on the occasion of Superstar Krishna's
July 17 it is ! With all ur love n blessings
it will be another memorable day in my career :)
— Mahesh Babu (@urstrulyMahesh) May
Karan Johar, who is presenting Baahubali The Beginning
in Hindi, announced the date officially with a paper ad. The clash
between the mega director and the super hero will be an enticing
fight to witness for the Telugu movie lovers.
With two biggies releasing with just a week gap, screen count
shall be compromised, which in return effect the openings and
collections on the whole of both the films.
While both Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu have that capacity
to pull off their films considering the difference between the
genres of their respective films, it is still a risky job on the
side of distributors and exhibitors. They are investing a huge
amount on both the films and must have a long run to recover the
expenditures and enter the profit zone.
Meanwhile, we just have to wait and see if any one of the films
backs out from the race. Let us know if you are also excited to
witness this battle of biggies along with us.
