Superstar Mahesh Babu's one of the successful experimental films, Businessman, which was written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, hit the screens as part of the re-release trend in Tollywood.

The movie which stars Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu was a sensation when it was released back in 2012. The movie featured Mahesh Babu mouthing cuss words for the first time, as part of the characterization.

The movie, which was re-released to a thumping reception and a superhit talk during its initial release in 2012 exhibited the same kind of excitement at the box office in its re-release.

On its day one, the box office prediction for the Businessman is about Rs 1 Crore from all centers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The occupancy ratio is 81.6% out of tracked shows accounting for 65 over the two Telugu states. The movie's Hindi dubbed version also performed well on YouTube.

Mahesh Babu-starrer action entertainer features Kajal Aggarwal as Chitra Bharadwaj, Prakash Raj as Ajay Bhardwaj, Nassar as Ajay Bhardwaj, Raghu Babu as Raghu, Sayaji Shinde as Laalu, Raza Murad as Guru Govind Patel, Subbaraju as Jaidev's assistant and Brahmaji as Surya's friend among others in key roles.

The movie written and directed by Puri Jagannadh is bankrolled by RR Venkat under the RR Makers banner. Thaman S composed the film's entire music and background score for Businessman. Shyam K Naidu worked as the cinematographer and S R Shekhar worked as the film's editor. The movie was made on a budget of Rs 40 Crore and earned about Rs 90 Crore at the box office.
