Sivakarthikeyan turned into a bankable actor at first and cropped up to become a Rs 100 Crore hattrick star in Kollywood. The actor-producer also ensured he got a decent reception in the neighboring states by releasing his films in Telugu and also by starring in a film directed by a Telugu filmmaker, 'Jathirathanlu' fame Anudeep KV.

SK's latest is a science fiction drama laced with a heavy dose of comedy titled Ayalaan. The movie's theatrical trailer was dropped recently to amplify the buzz around the film's theatrical release for Pongal on January 12.

As usual, Sivakarthikeyan wanted to release Ayalaan in the Telugu version at the same time as well. However, owing to the extremely high competition from the regional films that are coming for Sankranti, the makers of Ayalaan decided to withdraw the Telugu version release at the moment.

Ayalaan Premise
An alien lands on the Earth. It then finds a group of people and becomes friends. However, a group of scientists try to seek him out for experiments. What Happens Next? is all about Sivakarthikeyan's latest comedy-drama.

Ayalaan Telugu Release Postponed
For Sankranti, the two Telugu states are going to witness mass euphoria in terms of theatrical releases of their favourite actors. From Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram to Venkatesh's Saindhav, Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga, and the very interesting HanuMan by Prashanth Varma, the competition is heavy and the fans of Telugu movies are also prepared to watch all of these movies on the first day, given the hype. Amid this competition, Sivakarthikeyan and his filmmakers have decided to roll back on Ayalaan's Telugu release, which is a wise decision.
