List of Telugu Theatrical Releases This Week

After the epic and competitive Sankranti 2024 week, the Tollywood film industry is now going to have two dubbed major releases in Telugu, of Tamil productions featuring Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan. Captain Miller and Ayalaan's Telugu versions are ready to hit the screens this weekend.

Captain Miller

Dhanush, the ultimate superstar is again hitting the Telugu screens with his latest high-octane actioner titled Captain Miller. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the movie was released in Tamil for Pongal. The Telugu version is slated for a theatrical release on January 26 for the Republic Day weekend.

After the release, Dhanush's Captain Miller received highly positive reviews from fans and critics with special appreciation for Dhanush's character and his acting prowess, as expected. The movie stars Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Aditi Balan, Sundeep Kishan, and John Kokken among others in key roles. G V Prakash Kumar composed the film's entire background score and music.

Ayalaan

Sivakarthikeyan is one hero who earned a decent fanbase in the two Telugu states with his ease and convincing acting, coupled with the success of his previous films Doctor, Prince, etc. The actor-producer who is multi-talented, had opted for a science fiction movie underlined with a heavy dose of his trademark comedy. Titled Ayalaan, the movie which was directed by R Ravikumar hit the screens on January 12, in Tamil worldwide.

The film's Telugu theatrical release was slated for January 26. This AR Rehman musical stars Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, and Bhanupriya among others in key roles. Ayalaan met with positive reviews from the fans of the actor as well as the film critics. The movie is also expected to make a good buck at the Telugu box office.

105 Minutes

Actress Hansika Motwani's latest suspense thriller titled 105 Minutes is also hitting the screens worldwide in Telugu on January 26. This experimental, one-of-a-kind film which is a 'single-shot' (Single take) movie. Written and directed by Raju Dussa, the movie is touted to be a psychological thriller and has only one character in the total narration, played by Hansika. The film's theatrical trailer managed to catch the attention of film buffs.
