Guntur Kaaram OTT Release Date Fixed: Mahesh Babu's Film Ready For Digital Streaming; A Few Scenes Edited Out

Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu's latest Sankranti sensation Guntur Kaaram, written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, received underwhelming feedback, despite heavy openings.

This family action drama which marks the third collaboration of the actor and director after 14 years, is supposed to re-write the industry records. Unfortunately, the lack of a solid story and improper execution of the poor conflict point made Guntur Kaaram a film that Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas might want to forget about.

Featuring Sreeleela as the female lead along with Meenakshi Chaudhary, Guntur Kaaram did not perform well at the box office.

Guntur Kaaram Premise

Ramana (Mahesh Babu) lives with his father Satyam (Jayaram) after his mother Vasundhara (Ramya Krishnan) estranges him. She also bears witness to a murder committed by Satyam, sending him to jail. Meanwhile, Ramana is summoned by his maternal grandfather Venkata Swamy (Prakash Raj) to sign documents that deny any property rights. He demands to see his mother Vasundhara, who is now re-married. However, she refuses. The answers to these questions are all about Guntur Kaaram.

Guntur Kaaram's OTT Release On Netflix

After the commercially dissatisfying theatrical run after its Sankranti release, Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram is gearing up for the grand digital streaming debut.

The movie is expected to hit the Netflix India platform earlier than expected, joining the list of other latest Sankranti releases other than HanuMan. The movie might likely hit the digital streaming space on February 9. However, the official announcement is awaited yet.

There is also another information that the makers are keen on chopping off a few scenes for the OTT version, which were originally included in the theatrical release.
