Actresses Who Won National Award For Best Actress In Malayalam Cinema

Aparna Balamurali is a popular actress in the Malayalam cinema and made her debut 2013 film 'Yathra Thudarunnu'. She is best known for her performances in the movies like Maheshinatea Prathikaram,Sunday Holiday, B. Tech and Kaapa.  Aparna Balamurali is one of the youngest actress in the industry, who won National Award for her outstanding performance in the award-winning Tamil film 'Soorarai Pottru'. The actress has became huge sensation after her role as 'Bommi' in this film. 

Keerthy Suresh is one of the most-loved and popular actresses in the Malayalam cinema. She entered into the showbiz as a child artist and made her lead debut in Priyadarshan's 'Geethanjali'. In the movie , she appeared in a dual role had gained the attention of cinephiles in the industry. After made a successful debut in Malaylam, later she moved to Tamil and Telugu and delivered many box-office hit movies in the industries. Keerthy received several critical appreciation and awards for contribution in the Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu cinema. She won a national award for best actress at the 66th National Film Awards for brilliant performance in the Telugu film ' Mahanati'.

Surabhi is well-known face on the mini screen rather than big-screen. She stepped into the film industry as a theater artist and made her made her debut  in 2005 with 'By the People'. She became part of many super hit movies like Puthiya Mukham, Swapna Sanchari and Ayalum Njanum Thammil. After doing supporting role, she made her lead debut in the film 'Minnaminungu' . For her stupendous performance, Surabhi won the best actress award at the 64th National Film awards.  

The popular actress Meera Jasmine bagged the National Award as Best actress for her performance in the movie ' Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam'. Apart from this,  she had received Best actress award from the Kerala and Tamilnadu Government. 

The late actress Monisha Unni is a National Award winner for the her debut in the movie ' Nakhakshathangal'.She was one of the talented actresses in the industry, who always surprised the viewers with her acting skills since her acting career. 

The actress-dancer Shobana is well-known face in the Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi film industry. She is best known for her performances and powerful female characters on the big-screen. As a successful actress  in the Malayalam cinema, she had worked with many big stars in the industry. Talking about her achievements, Shobana bagged two national awards for her astounding performance in the movies 'Manichitrathazhu' (Malayalam ) and 'Mitr, My Friend' (English). 

The ever-green actress Sarada bagged the National Award for three times. She received her first National Award in 1968 , for the film ' Thulabharam'. After three years later she again won this award for the film  'Swayamvaram' in 1972. Apar from this, she had received another National award for her performances in the Telugu film ' Nimajjanam'.
