Woh jo behave..: Veteran Actress Rohini Hattangadi Likes Ranbir Kapoor Over Ranveer Singh. Here's Why

Rohini Hattangadi: Making her choices very clear, veteran actress Rohini Hattangadi easily picked between two stars from the present generation, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. In a conversation with Unfiltered by Samdish, she was asked to choose between the actors. Rohini immediately said Ranbir.

When the host asked why she would pick Ranbir over Ranveer, the veteran actress said she doesn't like Ranveer much as she finds his behaviour off-screen 'not really appropriate', but added that it might be appreciated by the younger generation.

When Samdish quizzed Hattangadi about what she doesn't like about Ranveer, she burst into laughter and added that, though he is a good actor, his behaviour is not really likeable. "As an actor he is good, but I like Ranbir Kapoor more," she said.

Further, she added, "Woh jo behave karta hai, mere khayal mein young generation ke liye toh bahut sahi behave karta hai. Shayad meri generation... Public figure ho toh thoda sa hona chahiye na kuch (The way Ranveer behaves is appropriate for the young generation, but not really for my generation. As a public figure, you should behave accordingly)."

ROHINI HATTANGADI ON GETTING MOTHER ROLES

In the same interview, Rohini revealed that she used to only get offers to play a mother, even though she was younger than male actors like Jeetendra, Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mithun. She eventually refused to do mother roles, but then an offer to play mother to Amitabh Bachchan in Agneepath came. Revealing why she accepted the offer, Rohini said, "Then when Agneepath's offer came, I said I will first listen to the story and then take a call. Halfway through the story narration, I said I will do the film."

"There was another film of Mukul ji before Agneepath that I had turned down, so he asked me, 'Ok, so now you are ready to play mother on screen?' I told him the reason why I said yes to the film was because in Amitabh ji's film, him, the heroine and the villain are prominently seen.
