D Imman On His Divorce With Monica Amid Ongoing Tiff With Sivakarthikeyan: I Know Who The Villain Is

The ongoing rift between Tamil music composer D Imman and ace actor Sivakarthikeyan doesn't seem to come to an end any time soon. While the renowned music composer has stated that Sivakarthikeyan had betrayed him and that he will never collaborate with him during this lifetime, much to everyone's surprise, Imman's ex-wife Monica Richard had come out in the actor's support in the matter.

While Monica going against Imman left everyone shocked, this has once again brought their divorce to the spotlight. In a recent interview with Wow Tamila, Imman opened up about his marriage and divorce and said that the struggle between the good and the evil is never ending. "You need to know who your villain is. I know who the villain is," he added.

He further asserted that his marriage was conducted by his father which is a truth. "There is an image in our society. In other words, when it comes to divorce, it is seen as if the problem lies with the man, and if it is a film actor, it is definitely his fault. That view needs to change," Imman emphasised.

The music composer further emphasised that the arrival of his daughters changed his life and while he did get divorced from Monica, he makes sure to visit his daughters and even added 'that kind of provision in the divorce deed'. Imman also mentioned, "But my daughters are not fond of me. It seems to me that they are put in such a situation. They don't have the affection that they used to run to and hug as father for the past three years. They have a small heart. They don't really know what happened". However, he is hopeful that his daughters will return to him someday.

For the uninitiated, Monica called Sivakarthikeyan a 'very decent person' and revealed how the Maaveeran actor tried mediating between her and Imman when their marriage hit the rocks. She also emphasised that Imman was upset with Sivakarthikeyan for not supporting his decision of divorce.

As per a tweet shared by Karthik DP, Monica, in an interview asserted that, "Sivakarthikeyan is a respectable individual & it's disheartening to see IMMAN making such statements. IMMAN is making these claims because he currently lacks new movie opportunities, which is why he's expressing himself this way"
