Mr X Box Office: Holds Steady Despite Ongoing IPL

Emraan Hashmi is all set to treat fans to his all-new avatar as an vigilante, action-hero in Mr. X, that hit theater screens today.

The film whose satellite rights have already fetched an approximate Rs 25 Cr (the highest for an Emraan Hashmi film this far), opened to an encouraging response and is headed for an approximate RS 7 Cr Day-1 figure.

The family entertainer managed a 60% opening in single screens and 25% opening in multiplexes, despite the ongoing IPL season with the 3D version doing exceptionally well.

Ironically, Emraan's previous films Jannat and Jannat 2 also released during the IPL and showed similar business trends, going on to becoming certified hits.
