Dunki Box Office Collection Day 3: SRK Fails To Beat Numbers Of Salman’s Mediocre Films Dabangg 3 & KKBKKJ?

Dunki Box Office Update: After the record-breaking success of Pathaan and Jawan earlier this year, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan returned to the silver screen for the third time with Dunki earlier this week. Directed by ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, the movie features Taapsee Pannu as the female lead opposite SRK.

Produced under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Jio Studios and Rajkumar Hirani Films, Dunki revolves around the illegal immigration method known as Donkey flight. Amid a huge buzz and expectations, the movie finally released on the silver screen on Thurday (December 21) and opened to mixed response from critics as well as moviegoers.

DUNKI BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 3 UPDATE

On its opening day, Dunki performed decently and collected Rs 30 crore at the box office. However, in a surprising turn of events, the film witnessed a dip on Friday and earned Rs 20.50 crore, taking its two-day total to Rs 49.7 crore.

Also featuring Vicky Kaushal (special appearance), Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover among others in pivotal roles, Dunki marks SRK's first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani and everyone was expecting a lot from it. Sadly, the film has been underperforming at the ticket window. However, it is likely to be the third successful project of Shah Rukh Khan due to its low budget.

On the third day of its release, Dunki witnessed a jump as expected and collected Rs 26 crore as per early estimates. After three days, the movie's total collection has crossed the Rs 75 crore mark at the Indian box office with earnings of Rs Rs 75.32 crore.

Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki has failed to beat the third-day collections of Salman Khan-s mediore releases like Dabangg 3 and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Yes, you read that right!

For those who are unaware, Salman's Dabangg 3 (2019) and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023) did a business of Rs 30.50 crore and Rs 26.61 crore respectively on the third day of their release.
