Meanwhile, the Anil Sharma directorial triumph shows no sign of fading even after seven days, as its shows are still running housefull across the nation. Shattering all box office records with each passing day, Gadar 2 has successfully wrapped its first week in theatres on a high note.

Reportedly, Gadar 2 managed to earn Rs 22 crore nett on day 7 but couldn't surpass Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan's figure. However, it will soon enter the coveted 300 crore club.

Gadar 2 is having a dream run at the box office, making it actor Sunny Deol's highest earning film ever. Its estimated first-week collection stands at Rs 283 crore net in India. It couldn't beat SRK's Pathaan's first-week collection, which was Rs 318.50 crore.

The film crossed the 250 crore mark in just six days. As per reports, on day 7, the epic drama action earned Rs 22 crore on August 17 with an occupancy of 35.06 percent.

On opening day, it collected a massive 40 crore, and recorded its highest single-day collection on Independence Day at Rs 55.5 crore.

Gadar 2 is the follow-up story of truck driver Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) and influential Pakistani woman Shakeena's (Ameesha Patel) cross-border love story. Gadar 2 is set during the Crush India campaign of 1971.

Tara Singh goes on a daring venture across the border to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma, who has been captured in Pakistan and tortured by their army. It also stars Simrat Kaur, Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, and Luv Sinha in key roles.
